Olay Regenerist Megasonic Specialist Cleanser

Despite I don’t wear a lot of foundation on daily basis, I find my skin looked dull, struggled with blackheads and enlarged pores on the nose and cheeks. For a long time, I procrastinated getting an electronic facial cleansing brush because of its hefty price tag for both the device and its brush head replacement – especially I’m not sure if I have the time to add another step to my current regime. When Olay came up with a cleansing brush at a much affordable price, I decided to give it a shot!

Olay Regenerist Megasonic Specialist Cleanser comes in a box with a cleansing device, a removable brush head, two AA batteries and a small tube of Olay Skin Renewal cleanser. To get the battery case out, rock the case at the bottom of the handle, side by side with a little pulling action. It took me quite a while to get it out the first time, but the subsequent tries were so much easier. You probably thinking that water may seep in, but once the battery case is in, it’s very secure so you don’t have to worry.

The device comes with two buttons under a fairly large waterproofed rubber panel on the handle. One is the on/off button and the other is to control the speed of the brush head rotation – slow and fast. I usually use the slow mode as I have sensitive skin.

The brush head is made of soft bristles that gently cleanses the skin. It snaps onto the cleansing device effortlessly. I had tried manual facial brush – those kind with a handle or small knob. Many times, I found myself pressing the manual brush against my skin so as to ensure I brush it thoroughly, pulling my skin in the process. End result? Red raw skin. With this electronic Olay brush, I mildly run the brush across my face and it gets my skin thoroughly cleaned! Its rotating brush head makes it easy to glide the device on my skin too.

Washing up the brush is a breeze. Just detach the brush head from the device and run water over it. If I get foam on the device itself, I just wipe it with a wet wash cloth.

I have been using it 2-3 times a week, for a couple of months. I notice my skin looks clearer, although I still get hormonal breakouts on my chin. I used to have a few stubborn spots on the tip of my nose that have reoccurring blackheads and clogged pores. After I using this device diligently, I noticed these stubborn spots are cleared. No more awkward scars on the tip of my nose after attempting to clear the clogged pores with bare hands! Yes!

Olay Regenerist Megasonic Specialist Cleanser and the brush heads are available at Watson’s and Luxola.com.
