Before motherhood, I had a skincare regime that I followed and kept up – cleanser, scrub, toner, cream, eye cream, mask, etc etc etc. Now having a 4yo in the house means she would knock on my bathroom door, yelling “Mom, can I have a cookie before dinner?” My home pampering time is practically zero. I’m sure there are Mommies out there have had such experience. We would scramble, slap on some cream and done. I have came out with this list so to make skincare routine a lot easier.
Believe it or not, I started writing this article months ago. Hence, the photos are not exactly the most updated of my current skincare routine. Continue reading
Living in a country that’s humid all year round, I have (almost) given up searching for a conditioner that conditions and yet doesn’t weigh my fine fizzy hair down. Hence when a friend recommended Percy & Reed’s hair products to me, I was not really keen. I mean I had tried oil, serum, volumising shampoo and conditioner, nothing seems to help! That explains why I bought a travel-sized conditioner instead of full-sized. Continue reading
As a sufferer of eczema and skin sensitivity, I’m constantly on the lookout of lotions, creams, cleansers and body washes that are gentle on the skin. If a body product seems to aggravate my eczema, I’ll move on to a new product. I’m pretty sure this NIVEA In-Shower Skin Conditioner isn’t a new product and I probably had walked pass it gazillion of times. What triggered me to try out this product was a photo of it on Instagram when I was searching hashtag #nivea. I thought why not give it a try!
Recently, I looked through the photos of my girl and myself when she was barely a year old. Oh gosh! I looked really drained, tired and aged. I neglected to look after myself. Mainly because there was a shift in my role in my household – I had became a Mom. My priority was my girl. I was adjusting to the change. Many times, I just didn’t feel like dolling up when I was out with her. That was because – I believe all Moms will agree – I simply had no time! Getting the little one ready to head out involved a lot of time and energy. By the time she was ready, we just wanted to quickly hop into our car and go go go! Hence, I came out with this list for all Mommies out there, especially first-time Moms. Well, at least it’s my essentials when I’m in a rush. The goal of this list is to make you look refresh and put together with 6 essential makeup, and be done in 10 minutes! Continue reading

Orbis is a skincare brand from Japan. I got to know it via either kimiss.com or urcosme.com couple of years back, and finally got to my hands on their products when I was in TW in 2011. Apparently, this brand has arrived at our shore! I’m not sure about the pricing here, but in TW, their price range is about the same as Fancl’s. In my opinion, its branding is very similar to DHC, Fancl and HABA, especially branding colours – very clean and clinical. They have products for skin, body and hair, cosmetics, healthy food and beauty supplement. I haven’t check out the local store hence I’m not sure if they have brought everything in. Oh! They have baby range too! Continue reading
Rich in pigment, creamy in texture, glossy finish, and gorgeous selection of colours – 24 colours, to be exact – how could anyone give this a miss! Well, I almost did.
